Laurence loves to play soccer and run. He lives with his family in the city of Morogoro. Employment in this area is difficult to find. The typical home is a multi-family dwelling made of cinderblock, and does not have electricity. Some homes have access to a public water source, such as a well or pipe borne water. Malaria, unemployment and malnutrition are common issues which add to the difficulties in Laurence’s life. His teacher says Laurence is a good class leader and a good example for the other children.
