Jacqueline lives with her family in the area of Katsekera southeast of Ntcheu. Although she is young, she is learning responsibility by cleaning and running errands. She enjoys school and likes to play with others in group games in her free time. In Katsekera, the typical home is constructed from clay bricks, with a thatch or tin roof and a dirt floor. There is no plumbing, electricity or water. They get their water from a community well that is far from their home. Jacqueline lives in an environment where illiteracy, alcoholism and HIV are common issues. Your sponsorship will make it possible for Jacqueline to attend the Learning Center where she will receive tutoring, a nutritious snack and learn of Jesus’ love for her. Malawi, in southeastern Africa, has been ravaged by HIV/AIDS causing nearly half of the population to be under 15 years old. VisionTrust sustains a program in the remote village of Katsekera to care for and spiritually nurture orphans and vulnerable children. The children gather five days a week at the Learning Center for tutoring, discipleship, nutritious meals and healthcare.
