Hugo is happy and active. He loves to play with cars. He lives with his family in the impoverished area of Los Verdes where the typical home is constructed from wood or cement block, with a tin roof. They must collect their water from a community well. Gangs, unemployment and respiratory illness because of indoor cooking, are challenges that Hugo faces in his daily life. Your sponsorship will make it possible for Hugo to attend the Learning Center where he will receive tutoring, food and learn of Jesus’ love for him. Please remember him in your prayers. Your love and support will help Hugo receive the assistance he needs as he learns to live for God and love others because he is worth more than the poverty that he was born into.

The Los Verdes Learning Center serves children in Los Verdes and its neighboring community. Many of the families grow coffee as a livelihood, but coffee plants produce beans only 4 months of the year. The rest of the year, the men of the family must find other work. VisionTrust partners with this Learning Center to provide children with tutoring and spiritual discipleship as well as a daily meal so they can become future leaders that live for God and love others.
