Dylan lives with his parents in Los Verdes, where the living conditions are very difficult. One of the reasons he is attending the program is that his access to nutritional food is very limited. The home in which Dylan lives, has wood walls, a cement floor and a wood roof. They must collect their water from a community well and boil it for daily use. Gangs and drug related problems are social issues which complicate life in Los Verdes. They live in an environment where respiratory problems are a common result of the use of firewood in indoor cooking. Your sponsorship will make it possible for Dylan to attend the Learning Center where he will receive tutoring, food and learn of Jesus’ love for him. Dylan likes to read and play basketball. The Los Verdes Learning Center serves children in Los Verdes and its neighboring community. Many of the families grow coffee as a livelihood, but coffee plants produce beans only 4 months of the year. The rest of the year, the men of the family must find other work. VisionTrust partners with this Learning Center to provide children with tutoring and spiritual discipleship as well as a daily meal so they can become future leaders that live for God and love others.
