He lives with his family but they struggle to survive due to limited resources and opportunities. Inflation is bringing additional challenges. When he isn’t helping his family with chores, Edgar enjoys playing soccer. Hundreds of Mayan children in the village of Cruz Blanca lack the resources to attend public school. They try to help their families by working at a young age, hindering their chance for a better future. VisionTrust partners with the Cruz Blanca Learning Center to provide these children with tutoring in math, Spanish, reading and vocational skills. The Learning Center serves children five days a week, providing them with a Christian education, nutritious food, and the love of God.
