Alan is a young boy who lives in Ensanche Altagracia with his family. Alan is often busy helping with the chores. When he does have free time, Alan enjoys playing with cars, and riding bikes. In Ensanche Altagracia, the living conditions are difficult. The typical home is built out of block with a tin roof, having only two rooms. These homes receive water only three times per week. The common social problems in this community are illiteracy, unemployment, drugs, and alcohol. Through your sponsorship Alan will be able to attend school where he will receive an education, basic medical care, and Bible lessons in a warm caring environment. Please remember to pray for Alan. This program was started because children in the community Ensanche Altagracia wandered the streets alone while their parents worked. The influence of local gangs, prostitution and drugs is strong on these children. VisionTrust’s Local Heroes now serve children ages preschool to 6th grade. Parent meetings have also been initiated to include them in how their children are growing and begin to share the love of God with the whole family.
