Vania Mishel lives in the impoverished area of Ayacucho, Peru which is located in the Andes Mountains. When Vania Mishel is not in school she is often assisting her family with chores. When she has free time, she enjoys playing group games. The typical home is constructed from mud or cement, with a tile roof and a mud or cement floor. Children growing up in this area will face many challenges including a high rate of alcoholism and domestic violence. Your sponsorship will make it possible for Vania Mishel to attend the Learning Center where she will receive tutoring, food, and basic dental and medical care. Often, this means children are left unsupervised late into the night, or for weeks at a time, while their parents work on farms. VisionTrust’s local heroes in Ayacucho aim to share the love of Jesus by providing a safe and nurturing environment at the Learning Center for these vulnerable children.
