Ailyn is often busy helping the family with chores like cooking, watching her siblings and running errands. She enjoys reading and playing soccer, in her spare time. Ailyn lives with her family in the impoverished area of Cruz Blanca. The living conditions in Cruz Blanca are very poor. The typical home has walls made of cement blocks, with a tin roof. The people in this community face many challenges, which include, gangs, violence resulting from strikes and political endeavors, and illiteracy. Your sponsorship will make it possible for Ailyn to attend the Learning Center where she will receive tutoring, food and learn of Jesus’ love for her. She will also be encouraged to dream big and see her potential in the world around her. Your love and support will make an eternal difference in her life.

Hundreds of Mayan children in the village of Cruz Blanca lack the resources to attend public school. They try to help their families by working at a young age, hindering their chance for a better future. VisionTrust partners with the Cruz Blanca Learning Center to provide these children with tutoring in math, Spanish, reading and vocational skills. The Learning Center serves children five days a week, providing them with a Christian education, nutritious food, and the love of God.
