Jose Eliseo Garcia Perez
Male | Age: 10 | Birthdate: May 21, 2012
JosÈ is a rambunctious young boy who lives with his parents, siblings and large extended family in this impoverished area of Cruz Blanca, where the living conditions are very difficult. The typical home has walls made of cement block, with a tin roof and a dirt floor. JosÈ can often be founds assisting his parents around the home by washing clothes. When he does have free time, JosÈ enjoys playing soccer with other children. There are many community challenges, including community unrest, child labor, and illiteracy. They live in an environment where respiratory problems are a common result of the use of firewood in indoor cooking. Your sponsorship will make it possible for JosÈ to attend the Learning Center where he will receive tutoring and food. He will also learn of Jesus love for him and be encouraged to reach his God given potential. To learn more about God, JosÈ attends church with his family. Please remember him in your prayers.
More about Cruz Blanca...
Hundreds of Mayan children in the village of Cruz Blanca lack the resources to attend public school. They try to help their families by working at a young age, hindering their chance for a better future. VisionTrust partners with the Cruz Blanca Learning Center to provide these children with tutoring in math, Spanish, reading and vocational skills. The Learning Center serves children five days a week, providing them with a Christian education, nutritious food, and the love of God.
