Paola is a happy child who lives with her family in this poor community of Comendador. The typical home is made of wood and cement with three rooms for the entire family. She lives in an environment where violence, drug use, alcoholism, and child abuse are common social issues. Your sponsorship will make it possible for Paola to attend school, receive a school uniform, books, food, and dental and medical care. Paola attends Bible classes and learns about the love of God. She enjoys many activities including running and singing. Please remember her in your prayers. Your love and support will help Paola receive the assistance she needs to develop to her full potential.

More about Centro de Desarrollo Integral...

The Dominican Republic ranks as one of the most impoverished countries in the Caribbean. Comendador, a rural area on the Haitian border, is corrupted with drug trafficking, violence and prostitution, making this a transient community. The impoverished families in Comendador have very little food for their children. VisionTrust partners with local nationals to provide a beacon of hope where children experience the love of God and receive help for their immediate needs such as food, medical and dental care and a quality education.
